SOLD OUT -THE CHERRY ORCHARD presented by MIRACLE THEATRE – THURSDAY 2ND AUGUST 2018

A once wealthy family faces ruin as society teeters on the brink of cataclysmic change…….

Miracle Theatre unpacks Chekhov’s bittersweet comedy about a once-wealthy family, whose idleness and extravagance bring them to the brink of bankruptcy.  Obstinate and self-absorbed, they are deaf to the rumblings of change which surrounds them, and unable to accept help when they need it.  Will it take a revolution to destroy their cosy world of privilege and entitlement – or will their own stupidity be enough?

Bill Scott’s new adaptation treads the tragicomic tightrope, bringing out all the humour and pathos of Chekhov’s masterpiece.

Recommended Age 7+

The outdoor performance starts at 7.00 pm and refreshments will be served.  However, the garden will be open for picnicking from 5.30 pm.  Remember to bring a torch, chair, cushions and wrap up warm!
