Set in stunning lakeside gardens, in one of North Dorset’s most picturesque locations, Springhead is truly a magical place for a civil marriage ceremony and an intimate wedding reception of up to 50 guests.

Unlike most hotels, the venue is exclusively yours to enjoy. In the 18th century Grade II listed mill there are three comfortable reception rooms for pre-drinks and socialising; a dining room for a sit-down menu or buffet; a separate dance area downstairs, as well as full kitchen facilities. There is also a bridal bedroom/changing room off the Mill Room and recently refurbished accommodation located in the grounds for up to 30 people.

However, Springhead’s ‘piece de resistance’ is its spectacular gardens which are listed in the book ‘1001 Gardens You Must See Before You Die’ by Rae Spencer-Jones. The gardens provide many enchanting areas for those special once-in-a-lifetime photographs, including a delightful wooden bridge over seven springs (believed to be extremely lucky in ancient times) and an antique Italian rotunda beside the lake.
