Facilities

Accommodation

The centre can accommodate 35 adults in dormitory, twin and single bedrooms on full board or self-catered basis.

The rooms have been completely refurbished in winter/spring 2008: walls and ceilings have received fresh coats of paint; roller and skylight blinds have replaced curtains, a new carpet has been laid in the ‘Fruit Store’ and Stable Block’ and all the bedding has been changed to boast attractive co-ordinated blue and white duvet sets. In addition, sheet sleeping bags are now provided.

There is also a new en-suite twin bedroom in the mill building with disabled access and facilities.

The kitchen and dining room are located on the ground floor of the main mill building and overlook the delightful courtyard where in summer guests can enjoy eating al fresco.

Recreation Rooms

Two recreation rooms are located on the first floor of the main mill building and overlook the picturesque lake and gardens. The larger room, namely the Mill Room, can seat up to 60 people theatre style and is ideal for workshops and presentations. While the Garden Room offers comfortable wicker chairs, a fireplace with a log burner and French doors leading onto the gardens.

Menus

Springhead’s food is freshly cooked and locally sourced where possible. Organic and vegetable options are available. Other dietary requests can be arranged, if prior notice is given. Alternatively guests can self-cater.

Car Parking

There is a car park at the rear of the grounds, which can be approached via a lane off Mill Street. Cars must not be left in the courtyard. Where groups are arriving by coach it should be noted that the driver is required to drop his/her passengers in the car park and not at the lower pedestrian entrance. No liability is accepted for loss or damage of vehicles or contents.

Disability Facilities

A pathway suitable for wheelchairs leads from Springhead’s car park to the main buildings. Prior notice needs to be given for disabled guests wishing to be dropped off in the courtyard. Disabled toilet facilities are provided on the ground floor and there is now an en-suite bedroom on the first floor with disabled access and facilities.
